Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:48pm
  • Well if Google says so, it must be true.

  • 7:10, great 30 Rock allusion!

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:15pm
  • Its supposedly not supposably

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:14pm
  • supposably sounds like a 5 year old trying to sound smart.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:05pm
  • Fuckin dumbass 5:03. "Google says so"? Seriously? The english language will prove 'irregardless' to be redundant. Google says so....I wish I could punch you in the face right now.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:07pm
  • 5:07 hi it's 5:03! Supposably you could punch me in the face, but irregardless I would kick your ass. hahahaha

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:30pm
  • My creative writing professor tried to convince me that slam and punch were onomatopoeias, not verbs... awesome.

  • In Soviet Russia, classes drop YOU!

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:01pm
  • Merriam Webster identifies irregardless as a word, but a highly frowned upon word which does suggest ignorance. It is probably a blend of irrespective and regardless. And 5:07- the correct word is supposedly, there is no b or a in that word.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:15pm
  • 7:13......COLLAGE?!?!?! It's COLLEGE. Obviously you're not good enough for it

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 7:16pm
  • I wish my advisors were smart enough to understand why that's a bad sign.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 4:47pm
  • Supposably is actually a word though misused 99%of the time. Too bad your instructor absolutely used it incorrectly and good for you for recognizing it

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 10:36pm
  • You fucking losers. Let me ask you something, do you walk around in public correcting gramer and spelling? If so, someday, you WILL get punched in the face.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 5:02pm
  • - "Supposably" IS a word, but I doubt your teacher was using it correctly. - "Irregardless" is an Americanized form of "regardless." It's the same case as "toward" and "towards." Americans are really the only people to use "towards." So even though both are correct, "irregardless" is simply redundant. Any questions?

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:15pm
  • If we are discussing these "things" so thouroughly I think they may now be words. There are some hard core keeners on this site. I think they may be the people you try to avoid sitting next to at parties.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 1:21am
  • 7:32 irregardless isn't a word fucktard

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 8:14pm
  • I had a teacher that said "elaminated" in stead of "laminated." I feel your pain.

  • Yeay for public education! *headdesk*

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:37pm
  • supposably its college but i no better than that obviously its collage stupid

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 7:22pm
  • I love that people can still appreciate the English language enough to care how it is spoken and written. These posts made my morning. Thank you!

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 9:41am
  • "7:20 i can to use those words in a sentance but thats stupid you asshole. thats what the man wants you to do." You're the stupid asshole. You keep spelling words wrong left and right! It's spelled SENTENCE. NOT SENTANCE. 8:45: it's LOSERS not LOOSERS. Education these days are horrible.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 10:44pm
  • SUPPOSEDLY, not "supposably". To all those who think otherwise... Yay for education today :-/

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:01pm
  • It is SUPPOSEDLY. Omg that drives me crazy. I would have dropped the class too.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 4:13pm
  • Irregardless is totally a word

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:30pm
  • it bothers me when people say "probly" instead of "probably" too

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 3:04am
  • Oh yaaay! An intelligent TFLN. That is so funny. Props to you for dropping that class. There is no way i could sit in a class all semester listening to someone with a master's degree and no English skills. And to those of you who think "supposably" is a word, just so you know, "alot" isn't a word, and neither is "flustrated."

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 10:07pm
  • 3:04 I agree, but I believe that "prolly" is the worst mutation of probably.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 10:06am
  • i hate when people say supposably. it's a d, you dumb fuckwads. supposeDly

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:50pm
  • 11:08- I don't know what dictionary you are using but physicality is most certainly a word.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 11:14pm
  • fuck me, the people quibbling over this are most likely English majors which means you are either going to law school or are going to be unemployed. Go find a real major... science for instance and not a social one.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 30, 09 at 1:47pm
  • It's supposedly, not supposably idiots.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:15pm
  • It's not that we don't have anything better to do, just that we don't do those things. It probably is a problem but if it contributes to maintaining our sanity I say we keep doing it.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 8:35pm
  • 7:20 i can to use those words in a sentance but thats stupid you asshole. thats what the man wants you to do.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 7:33pm
  • Yes and physicality isn't a word either

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 11:08pm
  • So far I haven't seen one person realize that this has to be either a fake post or a really late post due to the fact that it's December and the drop date for classes is long gone.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 12:42pm
  • Have you ever thought that perhaps it's a problem that you all have nothing better to do than insult one another on a website that is merely supposed to be funny? Just a thought :) Happy holidays!

  • family guy rip off.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:18pm
  • I think we people stop using grammatical English, the rest is sure to follow.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 12:36pm
  • 9:45- what dictionary? Because I really want to go out and buy the one you're reading that contains the mythical words...

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 10:07pm
  • 7:35, that made me smile : )

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 8:45pm
  • 7:32 I'm glad you got them all! I was just trolling and baiting those who are obsessed with grammar. It's the easiest type of trolling there is. I'm actually a little surprised it took until the third person in to figure out all the glaring errors.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 7:35pm
  • Supposedly and supposably are both words meaning different things. Get your Masters in English and then we will debate - in the meantime good call on dropping the course - it is highly unlikely your teacher usedit correctly

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 11:20pm
  • 6:17, The--what? Seriously, what the fuck are you trying to say? Supposably and Irregardless are both American English. Yeah! U-S-A! U-S-A! NUMBER ONE!

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:26pm
  • U guys r stupid ur goin to debate the way a word shuld prolly be spelled get a life

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:02pm
  • 10:44-- it's "is horrible", not "are horrible".

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 11:12pm
  • irregardless is just the hypercorrection of regardless, and is also the informal pronunciation. also, supposable is a word, but not supposably, prob. meant supposedly like 6:01 said

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 7:49pm
  • wow, fail. To all of you, big, ginormous fail.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:12pm
  • Probably taught the guy who labeled his Christmas decoration "reefs".

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:17pm
  • this is ridiculous. words are often created and legitimized through frequent use. thus, 'supposably' and 'irregardless' can maybe be considered 'words' in the same way that 'truthiness' and 'strategery' are 'words' also, just wanted to add, the spell-check in my web browser says 'supposably' is NOT a word while 'irregardless' is. oh, and to the OP, well done. the bastardization of the english language is definitely grounds for dropping a class

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 10:58pm
  • Another future welfare leach.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 5:36pm
  • Wow, The grammer police are really getting off on this. Fucking loosers.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 8:43pm
  • And it's people like that teaching the future leaders.

Submitted by Anonymous on Dec 13, 09 at 9:49pm
  • William Strunk says 'irregardless' should never be used in writing. If the Elements of Style says to refrain from using it, then the world should refrain from using it.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 11:11pm
  • 658...'slam' and 'punch' can be both; onomatopoeia is simply a word that sounds it's meaning. But I'll bet you know that, don't you?

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:25pm
  • 6:17 works at mcdonalds. no doubt.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:44pm
  • 12:05: i know I said physicality isn't a word to piss people off it just doesn't sound like one to me

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 12:11am
  • I would have dropped it too. AWFUL!

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 9:17am
  • Dude. You guys are missing the point. Yeah, they're words, but usually teachers would frown upon saying them. Thus, the teacher in the OP's class is a total nimrod.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:05pm
  • omg u r my hero for dropping that class!

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:48pm

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 9:45pm
  • last semester my geography professor spent the 1st 20 min of class trying to convince us Iceland is not a country. She wasn't joking. It was a really long semester. Wish I had dropped

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 6:21pm
  • Hahaha. That's always a bad sign. I bet there are a ton of people thinking "why is that bad?"

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 30, 09 at 5:03am
  • My very humble prediction is that in 50 years time, supposedly will have died, supposably will have lost whatever meaning the dictionary thinks it has now and will have replaced supposedly, and irregardless will have died out as a bad bad joke.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 10:30am
  • i would of stayed in the class, your a dumbass for dropping. you think your to good for collage? Stupid dumb asshole.

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 28, 09 at 7:13pm

Submitted by Anonymous on Nov 29, 09 at 1:14pm
  • I support your decision as well. Anyone who doesn't, well, it's clear that they also have no understanding of the English language.
