Drunkenly, it is far too difficult to say ".2" so 2.0 it was. she blew .208 that night. it was a 21st birthday present from the cops since she had a designated driver
^ Ditto. I had a friend call us and tell us he blew a 2.3 (also to come pick him up). We had this (slightly drunken) argument at the time, and found out later he meant .23. Common drunken mistake I expect..
hey look, another med student. I'm probably one of a handful who knows what you just said. Most people are like "LD50? is that some sort of video game?"
OMG a 760 ROFLFAO! thats my old hood. not all 760 cops are bad. ari too bad there are probably 100 atleast in the 760..... go so-cal. funniest shit i have ever read! the txt and the comments.
yeah I'm definitely not a med student and I learned LD50 my sophomore year in a basic science class... so don't flatter yourself.. LD50 is something most people know not just med students
LD50= the dose of something that will kill 50% of the subjects it is given to. Used only in animal studies. In humans, it's basically a theoretical number since we're not going to kill half of anybody. Usually regarding a chemical or medication.
Is it bad that I based my entire evaluation of the argument above about the life threatening percentage of alcohol in your system on a story from Tucker Max?
um, sadly i'm a college senior (tentatively graduating) who doesn't know what LD50 is, and got bored at the post that attempted to explain it
bottom line: if you blow a 2.0 - you deserve a high five (after consciousness is regained, naturally)
if you get cops to let you play "who's BAC is higher" as a bday gift - you deserve five dollars. baller.
im not a doctor or in medical school but i've spent some time in the emergency room. for drunks (not college dudes who think they can take it down) but actual everyday boozin bums on the street, .45 is normal. maybe not coherant, but conscience. i saw a guy in the e.r two weeks ago with a .6 reading and he was still able to answer questions. obviously any normal person would be dead. but not these guys who are out on the curb taking down handles at a time.
gotta love the 760 ... though i have never met a chill cop there.
stop ruining the humor. who cares if its accurate. i cannot understand why would even come to this site if all you want to do is pick apart every message.
You would still be dead
.08 (the legal limit in most us states) means 8% of your blood is alcohol. so a 2.0 means 200%.
You would die from a number of things before you could get to 1.0
".08 (the legal limit in most us states) means 8% of your blood is alcohol. so a 2.0 means 200%."
No that means that .08% of your blood is alcohol. 8% would yield a .8 BAC. They probably mean a .2, which is still up there on the BS scale, imo.
