Cypher83- my family ordered me pizza when I was in the hospital after getting hit by a drunk driver. Guess that makes us stupid people? Hope I never have to go to the hospital you work at. Btw you are so cool for knowing what aspirate means.
I work in a hospital er and it is stupid people like this who waste our time when other people have to wait in the waiting room who are truly sick and need our help. I hope you aspirate on a piece of pepperoni, your fingers are too greasy to push the call button for help, and it slips through your fingers and onto the floor just barely out of reach. Also if you don't know what aspirate means, look it up.
I'm going to have to call your bluff. I'm an ER nurse and I know that everyone that I work with will say that comedy is what gets them through their job. I've seen people try to be up tight like this. They don't usually last very long because they haven't created a mechanism to deal with the stress. And really I've personally ordered pizza to the ER.
I'm sorry to offend you, but I was one of those people that ordered that pizza. We did it because it was 1 am, our friend was in the ER and we had been waiting 3 hours for him to get out. So pardon me if we got hungry and didn't want to leave him alone at the hospital. By the way, that text was sent to our friend in the ER because we knew that he had a sense of humor.
I would also like to point out that I was the person in the hospital. I was vomiting blood for several hours and nothing could have made me feel better than walking out to all of my closest friends waiting for me. They waited for 5 hours. People get hungry. Dick.
