        • For the record: Hicks live in Mississippi and Louisiana, not Alabama. Been like that for the last 80 years; north just never caught on. However, the only two educated cities in Alabama are Mobile and Auburn. Mobile has waterfront (money) and Auburn has a college and is 95% fascist. [=] + . = Flyingcat was not from either.

  • Dueling banjos reminds me more of Appalachia than the deep south. The movie takes place in the mountainous regions of Georgia. I have no doubt that there are banjos in Alabama, though.
