This was not a matter of hitting the wrong button. "Were" isn't going to be mistyped "was" and it's not slang like "ur, doin, gonna"... its just plain unadulterated stupidity.

I'm actually glad that people AREN'T grammatically correct on here. Yes, it does annoy me; however, it gives me something to do with my free time by exposing the ignorance of others. I've been called a Grammar Nazi on more than one occasion and it makes me smile every time.
