• Not true. Ontario passed a wine and liquor return bottle policy with each container under a liter getting u 10 cents back and over a liter getting u 20 cents. So feasibly, if OP had a lot of bottles from say a party or had saved them, it is possible.

• Completely possible. I have numerous parties at my home each week saving up empties in my brew/bottle shed. Legitimately taken in over $30 dollars in cans and bottles at least twice a month in the last 4 or 5 months. Use the money on more beer though.

• I've tried this before. Me and my buddies went to all of our old partying spots and picked up our empties. After like two weeks of scavenging we got $2.53.
