  • Actually, as a former art student I can guarantee that green will make red pop out more. They are contradictory colours (red - green, blue - orange, yellow - purple) so putting them with each other makes the other seem more vibrant. That's why you'll always see green vegetables in red containers, and vice versa.

  • Putting green next to red will make it stand out more. Putting green over red will help cover it up because they cancel eachother out if you will.

  • I agree it should work in the opposite way.. that's how you're supposed to pick a color that enhances your eye color, not hide it. nice idea though!

  • To all the people talking about those green concealers: if you blend the two colors, they'll make mud brown, but on skin the redness goes away. With green eyeliner, you obviously can't MIX the colors for them to cancel out, you leave them next to each other to stand out. Common sense.

  • Actually green does lessen the appearance of the red...that's why if you have red patches on your face from pimples, you put Green cover up to hide the redness.
