Whoever duck taped you is doing it wrong, there is a painless mess-less (depending on the activity) way of putting duck tape on...and it's even harder to get off unless you have scissors

Titty residue.
Duct tape can take off skin when you peel it off. Use gaffer's tape instead. More expensive but much safer.
