  • It's definitely pop. "Soda" is a customizable drink that you get at a fountain in a 50's parlor. Coke is a name-brand or a drug.

  • Calling it soda is fair, but pop is a verb, not a drink. Coke is definitely more accurate when describing a carbonated beverage with flavored syrup.

  • Thats's a bit discriminatory. Cultural differences. Coke is a shortened name for Coca-Cola. Referring a cola drink as a pop or even as a soda is more generic than Coke.
