I'm from Mississippi, have a Bachelor's AND a Master's degree... a good job and a husband who's not a relative of mine. I wear shoes everyday, live a 1/2 block from the "man made" beach, don't have children yet, much less 10... didn't get pregnanT in high school, am not overweight and I LOVE the South... Wow - it seems as though I"m *gasp* NORMAL!
Originally from NJ...Graduated from Ole Miss and live on the MS Gulf Coast. I love it, and for the record...southern women are the best. Especially those at Ole Miss; it is the mecca of beautiful women.
Im from mississippi and i go to college, drive a new car, never have or thought of having sex with one of my cousins, have all my teeth, wear shoes, and have no kids, and since every mission trip ive every been on involves going up north to help i kinda think that maybe this whole stereotype might be a little bit backwards.
They're just jealous of all of our old money...All of those folks out west had to work for their money, we are given ours to spend on fraternity dues and whiskey drinks.
If anyone sounds ignorant it would be the people who are still stereotyping an entire state or region with negativity and hate in 2009. I live in Mississippi and I can assure you I have a college degree and all my teeth. I'm happy to know that people with such hatred views will most likely steer clear of our state. We don't want you here anyway =p
FoCo FTW!
Actually, fuck FoCo it's a little something I rep called 303. And yeah, I've actually lived there unlike these dumb east coast cunts that run around with the hand gestures singing Starstrukk.
oh and for what it's worth, I think this post was written by an ignorant bitch in Junction. This just sounds like something one of those dumb cunts would say.
You left out that in Arkansas, everyone has almost 20 kids like those creepy Duggers. And that everyone in Utah is a Mormon with three 14 yr old wives.
Amen, 5:19. I live here too and one of the best things about Miss is the fact that arrogant, ignorant people steer clear of us. They think we all live in trailers, date our cousins and have 16 kids out of wedlock.
Keep hating the south, as long as you assholes don't move down here and fuck up our ecosystem, everything will be cool. Besides, we have the prettiest girls in the U.S.
seriously, the ignorance perpetuated in this text message is just as bad as the assumed ignorance in Mississippi/the south in general. Anyone who actually thinks that way willingly and knowingly lives what they claim to hate.
It's wicked annoying that you're all arguing about which is better (or worse), when the answer is obvious; none. Each region has its positives and negatives. Most of what you people are bringing up is probably from watching movies, so its not sufficient evidence, anyway. Also Southerns have their own perceptions of Northerners too, so this is not only one sided.
Sad thing about this is, I'm probably younger than all of you.
Gotta love America.
haha exactly. i live in mississippi too and i'm asked all the time whether i own shoes, have running water, or am engaged to any of my cousins. it's usually funny and i laugh it off, but the other day someone asked me in all honesty whether i owned any slaves or not. wow... it seems like the ignorant people aren't all from mississippi....
Yeah, living in the south sucks...we have the best conference in the nation, the SEC, the hottest women... sucks being the best and having the hottest women.... yeah we are also the fattest and still have the best teams and hottest women in the south... what u got yankees?? Oh yeah, 2 yrs of getting your asses beat by Florida...i mean straight skullfucked.... just give up, you're hopes of winning again are over...
I lived in South Carolina for 15yrs. The day I moved to Mississippi was the most wonderful day of my life. Everybody is so sweet and well mannered. The men are so polite and have sweet southernly charm. I love my Mississippi hubby! I plan on raising my son here for as long as I can. Mississippi is my home :) Ive always been a southern baby! Proud to say I was born in Louisiana and settled in Mississippi
I attend grad school at Ole Miss and have to say some of the stupidest, most shallow and by far ugliest girls attend that hellish school. Glad the Bulldogs won the Egg Bowl this year! And yes, I was born and raised in the South. Unfortunately MS is kart of it.
Wow.. I live in Mississippi and everyone in my family has graduated with a college degree. I can't believe some of the things people have said. It just makes them sound idiotic. I agree. If you are that ignorant, we don't want you here anyway. I wouldn't want one of our nice southern gentlemen going to someone like that anyway. By the way, the girls from Ole Miss are the prettiest around!
5:19, we trash Mississippi because along with telling us about your college degree, you also felt the need to remind us you still have all of your teeth.
12:37 - 4:49 was correcting someone else's poor grammar in his/her attempt to make fun of the South. Their instead of his/her. You obviously didn't get it, you Northern POS.
IF YOU HATE OLE MISS GET THE HELL OUT OF THAT SCHOOL AND GO RIMG SOME COWBELLS AT STATE... WE DONT WANT YOU HERE ANYWAYS. OH AND YOUR PROBABLY UGLY AND JUST JEALOUS...
I live in MS, I'm in college. Mississippi has the lowest ACT scores next to Washington, DC. Our capital city has one of the highest crime rates. We are the 2nd most unhealthy state, Louisiana being the fattest. Mississippi is also the number one state in teen pregnancies! At least ten 7th graders that attend the high school I graduated from are pregnant right now. Mississippi is also home to the world's largest man-made beach.
Don't misconstrew the girls reason for saying this people lol... she's been with a mississippi boy before... and doesn't think she can handle that level of exstacy again lol
I'm from Los Angeles and I lived in Mississippi for 2 months.. all the men had fantastic manners... but they were not nearly as attractive as the guys in Cali.. I'm sorry, not trying to be ignorant.. just stating what I got from the experience.
Your vag is very wise, OP. I live in NOLA, went to school in Alabama. That hour drive through Mississippi was the scariest part of my trips to and from school.
