but the original story is possible. u go down about 0.01 each hour so itd be about 0.274 which is definitely possible
and actually, deaths have occurred at .35 and .4 is generally known as the lethal amount. i distinctly remember being told by multiple doctors that your heart begins to slow down at .3 and respiratory and cardiac arrest are highly likely above .35.

Wrong, 8:17. In order for something to have a half-life, its decay or removal must be related to its concentration. Alcohol is removed from the bloodstream at a constant rate, totally independent of concentration. So it does not have a half-life.
If you have a really high tolerance, it's possible to defeat those rules about BAC (obviously). But yes, a normal person with an average tolerance would OD at .4
i love how sure all the people are that this can't be real, because someone told them it can't. despite documented police and hospital accounts that prove that, while exceptionally rare and not something that should be a goal or even considered possible for a normal person, it can in fact happen to a much higher degree.

Read an article where a guy in Bulgaria blew .91 at a hospital. Doctors thought their equipment was broken and tested him 5 separate more times. No joke, he had a BAC of .91.
this is actually really possible, i had a friend blow a .274 at court after sleeping for seven hours... and i agree you are a champion

There was a woman in Oregon who blew a .7 something a few years back. Personally, my highest BAC recorded is a .4 (from blood drawn, not blowing. Blowing I probably would have been higher) and every doctor at the hospital stopped by my room to meet me and tell me that I either had one hell of a liver or that I needed to get my butt to rehab ASAP because I was not only conscious, but walking and talking and carrying on conversations while not being blacked out.
It's definitely physically possible, by blood alcohol level calculators I should've blown a 0.54 one time. I obviously didn't have that high BAC or I'd be dead but still, I'm sure I was over a 0.274
having a high tolerance does not make you an alcoholic...if that were the case, every frat boy in america is in some deep s***, matter of fact, nearly all college students would be.
