  • the 26 hrs thing is impossible because ud have blown about a 0.56 and would be dead but the original story is possible. u go down about 0.01 each hour so itd be about 0.274 which is definitely possible

  • and actually, deaths have occurred at .35 and .4 is generally known as the lethal amount. i distinctly remember being told by multiple doctors that your heart begins to slow down at .3 and respiratory and cardiac arrest are highly likely above .35.

  • In December 2004, a man was admitted to the hospital in Plovdiv, Bulgaria after being struck by a car. After detecting a strong alcohol odour, doctors at a hospital conducted a breath test which displayed the man's blood alcohol content at 0.914. Concerned that their equipment was malfunctioning, doctors also performed five separate lab tests, all of which confirmed the man's incredible BAC. [30] The man was treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash but survived.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 19, 09 at 8:54am
  • 7:36 all drugs have a half life, alcohol, included... its a weird way to talk about it but it is in fact a valid one.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 8:17am
  • agreed 11:35. It's too bad their BACs are so high, otherwise they would just kill themselves off, making it safer for the rest of us to breed. GO NATURAL SELECTION!!

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 11:59pm
  • The real question is, why are some of you people so proud of the fact that you can function at a BAC that high? Last time I checked, that probably makes you an alcoholic. Cool!!

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 11:35pm
  • 10:09 is obviously a fucking genius and ya champion is fuckin right. cheers to that

  • Is it possible though? 0.35 BAC - Blackouts and stupor. 0.50 BAC - Published overdose level leading to death With alcohols half-life, .224 after six hours of sleep would have put him at about .486. Not possible. 1019 your 'calculators' must have been broken

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 10:24pm
  • You've gotta be under the age of 15 to not know what a mullet is... FYI it's a terrible hair style from the 80's which some idiots still haven't gotten cut- mainly rednecks... If this isn't enough - google it!!

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 1:29am
  • 10 56, did you mean blowing to take the bac test, or blowing like doing blow? Both would work in this case

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 11:17pm
  • ok... he said 6 hours not 26 hours, and its totally possible. i've seen it... GO YOU!

Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 11, 09 at 12:38am
  • that's bullshit about that guy in bulgaria.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 10:41pm
  • i blew at .3 after 26 hours, yeah.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 9:59pm
  • Wrong, 8:17. In order for something to have a half-life, its decay or removal must be related to its concentration. Alcohol is removed from the bloodstream at a constant rate, totally independent of concentration. So it does not have a half-life.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 9:34am
  • the OP probably meant a .0224

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 12:01am
  • Ha ha agrred with ten o four, funny txt but definitely not physically possible. Still win

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 10:12pm
  • 10:24, your numbers make absolutely no sense. The first guy was right. "half-life"? Really? There is no half-life involved in alcohol metabolism.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 7:36am
  • While impressive... i do know one better. My friend blew a .26 at noon... even tho he went to bed at 2am. there are fb pics to prove, lol

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 12:43am
  • @ 11:17 I meant blowing to take the BAC test. Though you're right, my phrasing was pretty bad.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 12:41pm
  • If you have a really high tolerance, it's possible to defeat those rules about BAC (obviously). But yes, a normal person with an average tolerance would OD at .4

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 12:02am
  • Funny! Not physically possible, of course. But cute story anyway! Go cut your mullet.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 10:31pm
  • i love how sure all the people are that this can't be real, because someone told them it can't. despite documented police and hospital accounts that prove that, while exceptionally rare and not something that should be a goal or even considered possible for a normal person, it can in fact happen to a much higher degree. good thing there are so many condescending assholes here, you guys must all be doctors, right?

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 12:58am

  • Read an article where a guy in Bulgaria blew .91 at a hospital. Doctors thought their equipment was broken and tested him 5 separate more times. No joke, he had a BAC of .91.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 11:30pm
  • 9:34 is absolutely correct. Alcohol has a steady state linear metabolism, not a half-life exponential.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 17, 09 at 12:13am
  • There was a woman in Oregon who blew a .7 something a few years back. Personally, my highest BAC recorded is a .4 (from blood drawn, not blowing. Blowing I probably would have been higher) and every doctor at the hospital stopped by my room to meet me and tell me that I either had one hell of a liver or that I needed to get my butt to rehab ASAP because I was not only conscious, but walking and talking and carrying on conversations while not being blacked out.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 10:56pm

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 26, 09 at 7:55am
  • It's definitely physically possible, by blood alcohol level calculators I should've blown a 0.54 one time. I obviously didn't have that high BAC or I'd be dead but still, I'm sure I was over a 0.274

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 10:19pm
