@ 12:32.. we do the same thing. As a lesbian mom Mother's Day is really the day we celebrate. Then we joke around on father's day with funny cards and what not. :) It is fun.
jersey has really nice parts too, but the ignorant assholes that bad-mouth it just havent taken the time to notice that. Every state has its good parts and its bad parts, just like everyone has places the would prefer to live. If you hate jersey, you honestly know nothing. Get over it.
3:04 needs to be shot. i have two different friends who were raised by lesbian parents and both are kind, accepting, strong and wonderful people. the experience has been difficult at times, but more often rewarding for both the child and the parents. i would say that neither of my friends have "messed up heads" as a result of being raised by two moms.
in my family, there's me, the femme one, and my ex, the other femme one, and my son, who at this time believes he is Optimus Prime. I cooked my father a Father's Day dinner, my son called him to wish him a happy Father's Day and my ex and I had a short discussion about how Hallmark developed this damned date to sell cards. I refuse to buy cards, but my dad got an Obama t-shirt he wanted.

I'd also like to note that there isn't necessarily a "butchy" one in every lesbian relationship. I am a feminine lesbian in a relationship with another feminine lesbian. The butch/femme stereotype does not always perpetuate itself. Also, the lesbian parents I know have extremely healthy, happy children (and they don't do anything for father's day).
I have a friend who gives his single mom fathers day cards sometimes. What punchy kid wouldn't do it once in while to a lesbian mom.

This text was about lesbian parents on Father's Day; not who lives in a cooler state. Fighting over which states are better/worse is so pointless. All of them have good and bad things and all of them have stupid people and smart people. Get over it.
This is heated and a little stupid. Jersey has some gross parts and some nice parts as with any state. I would rather live there than Idaho or Oklahoma but that is because I like like the city. (holler at boston)
As for 3:04; you should know that its not the people raising the child its how the child is raised. 2 moms could do a great job, but i do think children need a male role model from somewhere. 2 moms is better then 1 mom and no dad like alot of families today.

Actually, he may have gone to high school with your mom, but he is from Oklahoma, and him, and his wife and kids, go and visit his family there quite often.
I was just raised by my dad, and when I was little I would give him stuff on mothers day too, so it all just depends on the parents take.
Lesbian parents need to be shot. If they want to play with a turkey baster thats fine but having kids grow up in that environment is criminal. I know, a friend of mine has her daughter doing it and it rips her apart every day. She loves the child but see's how its effecting him and its another child that will grow up with a messed up head.
