We were apparently using marine hand signals to communicate to one another where to meet up in the house to hook up.
Didn't even know I knew marine hand signals.

As a Marine Corps veteran, yes we have several hand signals for use in certain combat situations. And yes there can be many jokes made about this.
Ahh, hand and arm signals, brings it all back..."The mission of the Marine rifle squad is to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver...."

Believe they meant as in corps not nautical.
