I'm pretty sure they meant what they said. as in...have sex & then they get drunk. as opposed to get drunk & then have sex.
I think as a grad student, you should know that then = than.
I think as a grad student you should also know not to say "much rather prefer to get laid" pick one: rather or prefer.haha I'm 15 and I know this
doesn't everyone prefer to get laid over most things? orgasm > drunk
