I don't think there's anything wrong with this text... it's a joke. There's nothing wrong with Nebraska. I live here, and the only farm I've been on or seen, is the one my cousins live on... in Iowa. Get your facts straight :).
It may have also been sold. Here in PA once fire equipment turns twenty it cant be used anymore. In ohio its twenty five so they buy our old equipment on the cheap.

Just because I am a fire fighter myself I thought I would point out that there is a place right on the South Dakota/ Minnesota boarder that builds fire trucks. It might have been a newer truck being driven to San Diego to be put into service.

I was on a fire crew in Colorado that went to both Oregon and California last summer. Fire crews go wherever they're needed. It has nothing to do with where they're from. Right now, I know of about eight people from various Colorado crews who are working on fires in Alaska.
Seriously who makes a joke about that? Obviously they DO know how to fight wildfires if there are even still whole cities and neighborhoods that they saved right on the edge of the fires. It's called WILDFIRE for a reason, they can't control it but they did a pretty fucking amazing job during both huge wildfires in the last several years all things considered so shut your fucking mouth.
