  • you post the area code of the number that you're dialing, which is wherever you bought the phone, which usually indicates where the person is originally from but not necessarily where the person is currently located.

  • I'm 770 and I'm metro Atlanta. Same with 678. As far as I can tell, it's north of Atlanta (Marietta, Roswell, etc.)

  • 5:45...actually MOST of the state of GA's area code is 912. It only changes when you get close to Atlanta. And even then, there are several.

  • Most of GA isn't 912, I'm 478 and live almost 2 hrs from Atlanta! Good tfln for sure!

  • true - either way this is one funny post

Submitted by Anonymous on Sep 17, 09 at 5:48pm
  • i dont think that you have to put the area code that you are in. I think that you post with your area code no matter where you are. Maybe the op goes to school in 518 so his friend has a 518 area code and he is from GA meaning he would have a 404 area code.

Submitted by Anonymous on Sep 17, 09 at 5:45pm
  • Haha! That is great! I just moved to GA a month ago, used to have a 518 now I'm 770. Lol love it ;)

Submitted by Anonymous on Sep 17, 09 at 2:18pm
  • Ahahahaha! Awesome. I hope that someday some one can fill the OP in on what happened. But not for a while...a long while :)

Submitted by Anonymous on Sep 17, 09 at 2:30pm
  • when sending the text to tfln you put in the area code your in at the moment not where your from so person could be from 518 texting from 404

Submitted by Anonymous on Sep 17, 09 at 5:14pm
  • looks like (404) wasn't getting found. lol@intarweb
