Actually the narrator was nameless in the book, and in the movie as far as I know, but I've only seen the movie once, I've read the book three or four times..
Why the fuck would someone not naming any times go look up the area code just assuming, And also because a shit load of people move to Hawaii to smoke k? Foreal 808 all day baby.
Ok I was reading these comments and then I saw it the fuck tard know it all who said Jack and Tyler durdant are the same person. I hate you did you even watch the movie? Brad Pitt and Edward norton are both Tyler durdant Jack is a fictional goddamn character who was in the book s in the basement of that shitty house
Cornelius was just the name he used at testicular cancer. He used other names as well like Tyler or Ralph. Jack( or Joe in the book) comes from the organ articles in readers digesst. The narrator has no REAL name that the audience discovers
Wrong. The narrator's name is Tyler Durden. "Jack" is an ironic name that he makes up to refer to the magazine series with stories from the perspective of bodily organs, thus: "I am Jack's total lack of surprise", "I am Jack's inflamed sense of rejection". Look it up.

!!!! For the last time, "Jack" is NOT a person. Tyler is the name of the narrator. The reference to "Jack" comes from the magazine articles littering the broken down house. The name "Jack" has nothing to do whatsoever with the narrator.

When you post from mobile you can't use the (1-original area code) thing to show a reply so they might have just used a random one because they couldn't.
1:28, that's not Jack's haiku. It's Tyler Durden's. Jack is the guy that used to live in the house he lives in. He just says "I am Jack's..." because that was in all those books in the house.
Not my words, but this sums it up the best:\n\nEdward Norton's character was actually Tyler Durden. In the movie he didn't have a name.\n\nWhen he was talking to Marla on the phone he actually asked her what his name was - and she said Tyler Durden. That was the twist in the movie....

::yawn:: lame. Im sure you stoner teens will hate this comment so here's my pre-emptive fuck you and your small cocks. i bang your gf's while youre getting high.
Gentlemen and Lady, did we learn nothing from this masterpiece? This is not your haiku, nor is it my haiku; This isn't Jack's nor is it Tyler's. This is our haiku. so stop bitching about it and ruining it for the rest of us.
The narrator doesn't have a name. He's just the narrator. That doesn't mean his name is Tyler Durden either. Tyler is a personality he made up to cope with life. Just watch the DVD commentary with David finches.
In the book it is implied that Jack could be the narrators name, but that is just an implication there's nothing official! And I must say I'm getting pissed off about how many of you are talking about watching the movie! If you have only seen the movie you are not allowed to correct anyone..... because you don't even know half of the story!!!
