@manup- I'm glad ur lecture is over because u are a stupid-ass. Know what else comes from plants? Plenty of highly toxic and lethal substances. Do us a favor and snort some of those.
Just because manup makes his argument poorly doesent make him wrong. Have you ever stopped to realize how dramatically cultural taboos change over time, and how incredibly closed minded it is to condone some drugs, such as alcholol, while disparaging others, such as marijuana, cocaine, and morphine, simply because you don't like them, you've never tried them, or they're "illegal." You do know that heroin is less physically damaging than alchohol, right?
Why does everyone hate coke? im not exactly a fan at all but cocaine is extracted from a plant, THC is from a plant, dmt is from a plant, opium and morphine are from a plant.... etc etc. Just saying.... some drugs are pretty much a gift from mother nature if used in moderation and with respect. Yeah, lots of poisonous plants grow in nature too. Growing in the ground alone is not a good enough reason to put something in your body. And really, by doing these drugs you are slowly poisoning yourself.
Well okay yeah, every single chemical is technically poisonous because in excess, you overdose and it causes adverse effects. Im not saying "lets all go get high cuz its natural" im saying that i see nothing wrong with occasional and responsible use of the world around us. Just cuz its natural doesnt mean its okay. But look around, caffeine is just like cocaine except the dosage. Most "legal drugs" that we consume every day are just as poisonous as illegal drugs that are frowned upon, a
Theyre not people, theyre inanimate objects. Thats exactly why you cant blame them for addiction and crime and all that. Its like how people say "guns dont kill people, people with guns kill people" same effing thing. Youre just ignorant if you think drugs and guns are to blame for the negative things caused by people abusing.
And also, drugs dont cause addiction, people abusing drugs causes addiction. People make the choice to take a drug, to continue taking a drug, and eventually become addicted. Blaming a substance with no mind of its own is just another way our society passes blame on to things or people that can't defend themselves.
