TFLN submitters need to learn the meanings of A) literally, B) legitimately, and C) randomly. He did not "randomly" give you Plan B. He gave it to you with a very specific, direct purpose: to kill that zygote.
And cranky TFLN commenters need to get over the fact that words can have both formal and vernacular connotations. Speakers use 'random' to mean 'out of the blue' and 'literally' to mean 'seriously' or 'really' and it's not some sort of assault on English, it's evidence of the fact that languages are always in flux. Speakers aren't 'misusing' the words, they're adapting them. So quit whining and go be offended about something... legitimate. ;
The decision to give her Plan B may not have been random for him, but from her perspective it was likely the furthest thing from her mind. I'd also argue that she could have meant that doing so at the library was fairly random, as if he just happened to bump into her, but then the 'random' in her post would have been needed to be placed earlier. Even so, harping on spelling and grammar on a website that posts text messages, typically drunken, high, or otherwise, is a stupid waste of effort.
Well use a damn condom and maybe you won't have to worry about being embarrassed in the library. Because, of course, unwanted pregnancy and herpes both pale in comparison to that trauma.
