Funny, Anderson claimed to have contracted HPV when her tattoo artist failed to change needles after tattooing - I swear to god - Tommy Lee. Apparently it was irrelevant that Lee had been plowing her like a Buffalo suburb in winter for some time; the HPV came from the tattoo artist.
People, Anderson does NOT have HPV ("human papillomavirus"), which is typically transmitted through sex. She has HPC ("hepatitis C virus"), which primarily transmitted blood-to-blood and is RARELY transmitted through sex. So no, if you have HPV, you are NOT in good company with Pamela Anderson.
1 out of 2 sexually active people will get HPV. Most forms are absolutely harmless, don't cause any warts (this is very rare), and go away on their own. A lot of people get HPV and never even know it because they are male or it disappears before their next gyno appointment. Talk to your dr. and don't get worked up, I'm sure you will be fine.
HPV has cause ovarian cancer for two of my friends. It's harmless is men, not women, which is why it is spreading so fast. There's a vaccination for the serious strands...I highly recommend getting it.
The vaccination is almost useless. It only protects against the four worst strands. There are hundreds of strands of HPV. I know three girls who got the shots and still got HPV. Two of them don't have it anymore. \n\nAlso, stop fear-mongering. HPV is very likely to go away. It's usually not something a girl has forever. If it does stick around, yes, she has a bit of a higher chance for cancer, but it's not much higher, as girls have a very high chance of cancer anyway.
HPV can cause cervical cancer, not ovarian cancer. Also, HPV has the capability to cause penile & anal cancers as well, although this is much less common.
