  • Take assurance in the fact that you're not the first guy to fall into this trap, but try to at least learn from your mistakes. Driving over at all was a mistake -- you thought that by showing her how nice you were, she would realize you were better than her boyfriend and want to be with you instead. That's not how it works.     • While i get how this can be confusing as you meant them as a sign of affection and probably should be looked at more favorably for that, you just can't expect any sort of reciprocation when you give a gift. The most you can hope for is that they'll like it.
