Working for a major cellular carrier for the past 5 years, we've seen and heard as well as done worse. You're fine
call asurion and do a claim if you have insurance on it. They won't care how it got damaged and they will send you a new phone.
a dog really did put some teeth marks on my phone a few years back. use that
They have seen worst.
unless it is chewed through it is unlikely they will ask.
