• Studies have been done on this. Surprisingly, if an average-looking guy just goes around and asks a bunch of average-looking women whom he doesn't know if they want to have sex, he'll get a "yes" about 20%-40% of the time. (Most people would assume a success rate of less than 5%.) The downside of this is that the guy has to deal with a whole lot of rejection, and risks becoming known as "that guy" a la Quagmire.
