  • we used to just use brownies. they're moldable- work better than any candy bar out there. that's what we used to do... the best part is you can go swimming after all the patrons leave!

  • Not only had I thought f this when I was a lifeguard , but was pleased when free m&ms were the selling point for the little boy.

  • (i'm 9:21) i also had one of my guards chew up some mcdonalds hamburgers and pretend to puke in the pool... i think i was quite possibly the worst guard/pool manager ever.

  • Yes...every lifeguard has done or considered something to that affect.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 7:00am
  • Love that trick, my guards and i have done it several times

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 19, 09 at 3:37pm
  • When I was a lifeguard my coworkers and I thought about this all the time! A candy bar was tempting to do too.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 15, 09 at 12:43am

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 16, 09 at 3:09pm
  • i've definitely considered doing that before when teaching 3 hours of swim lessons.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 6:25pm

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 4:10pm
  • ha, i'm pretty sure every guard ever has considered that at some point in time. i know i have after being on stand for four hours straight....

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 15, 09 at 2:17am

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 9:52pm
  • Been there, we just threw pink clay in that we had painted brown

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 15, 09 at 2:24pm
  • As a lifeguard in wv I have done this. I've also told the kids there was a snake in the pool it was a rubber hose.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 15, 09 at 12:27am
  • I know quite a few people who would do this. lol, but I hope not in the southern part of the state, cause without the pools i'd have nowhere to go.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 6, 09 at 6:23pm
  • been there, done that...

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 5:31pm

Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 20, 09 at 9:57pm
  • just get a payday bar and break some chunks off...that's what we did when we wanted so shut the pool. Sucking the candy shell off of peanut m&ms worked too.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 7:17pm
  • I REALLY hope you don't live in the southern 304. On the other hand, I kind of hope I know you. XD And it's WV, it's entirely possible. -_-;

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 18, 09 at 5:31am
  • way to represent the 304, i think i know who this is..

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 5:58pm
  • not worth it dude. i lifeguard, and yesterday a kid did shit in the pool. this was after we had to clean up vomit and the kid gushing blood from his face, but before the clogged toilet.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 4:04pm

  • At the pool I worked at I watched poop ooze out of a little girls swimsuit. Thank God I didn't have to clean that one up.

Submitted by MarineAggie on Mar 5, 10 at 11:15pm
  • its only fun until youre the guard who has to scoop it out

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 15, 09 at 2:16am
  • Just give him popsicles or a candy bar, it works just as well!

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 4:06pm
  • Totally understand. We were talking about putting roadkill in the pool I work at.

Submitted by shelbaybay on Nov 17, 10 at 4:51pm

  • I know this feeling all too well.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 5:57pm
  • I would use a candy bar. Snickers are pretty effective. Or gold fish crackers. We just pretended someone had thrown up.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 6:31pm
  • dreamland pool anybody?

Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 17, 09 at 5:24pm

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 14, 09 at 4:05pm
  • dude i tottaly did that the other day lol

Submitted by Anonymous on Oct 17, 09 at 12:37am
  • I love how everyone from WV is assuming they know the pool/person...304 is the whole state. A lot of cities/towns, or for those from southern WV, who do not seem to use town or city names when identifying where they live: 55 counties.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 23, 09 at 3:14am
  • This is such a true statement. Once while another guard and I were on duty, for 45 minutes, there was ONE kd in the pool. After we'd already worked around 3 hours.

Submitted by Anonymous on Jun 15, 09 at 11:41pm
  • by the way... i worked in charleston. south charleston rec center. lmfao. and little creek. southern wv for the win.
