Girls and guys should be able to act however they want to without being told they're acting "like girls" or "like guys". THAT is equality. There's nothing wrong with what the guy OR the girl in the OP did, it's just their preference. The issue was when the OP brought gender stereotypes into it, which isn't fair for either of them.
