  • this person doesn't understand what a chromosome is.

    Submitted by zigs16 on Aug 3, 10 at 10:57pm
  • so what this person is saying is that there are no male badasses. Chuck Noris is already on his way to their house

    Submitted by vandal36 on Aug 3, 10 at 11:52pm
    • No, this person is just lacking a basic understanding of biology. What they are probably trying to say is that baddassery is transmitted from the maternal line.

  • Op is an idiot. XX is a pair of chromosomes...shit like this makes me ashamed of being a girl.

  • is this person trying to say only women are badasses?

Submitted by ilovebreast on Aug 3, 10 at 11:08pm
  • I wish so badly there was a way to filter out dumbasses on TFLN. Just an ignore button so I could still read the funny comments that people post without seeing a billion things that say "Firsty" or other troll stuff. It is ruining TFLN for me.

    Submitted by Full_Circle256 on Aug 4, 10 at 12:54am
  • So the OP is implying that all bad-ass men have Klinefelters Syndrome?

Submitted by stig on Aug 4, 10 at 1:44am
  • XX is actually TWO chromosomes, and to nattybuck, which assuming by your name this won't make sense, XXX is called Turner's Syndrome which stunts growth in women and make them sterile. Some badassery eh?

    Submitted by guff1991 on Aug 3, 10 at 11:22pm
    • excuse me. Not Turner's. Triplo-X Syndrome. Same diff though

      Submitted by guff1991 on Aug 3, 10 at 11:23pm
    • yeah way to be condescending and getting your facts wrong at the same time douche. Turner's syndrome is when there's just the one X chromosome present

    Submitted by Matrixgrl09 on Aug 4, 10 at 12:31am
  • Maybe she meant only the second X since everyone already has one X. And we all know if she only said "on the X chromosome" in the text she'd get harassed for it too.

    Submitted by kgraham21 on Aug 4, 10 at 9:27am
  • false true badassery is carried by the elusive xxx chromosome only a select few have it i.e. chuck norris and the dos equis man

Submitted by nattybuck on Aug 3, 10 at 10:59pm
  • Tripple x doesn't cause infertility. It actually kind of makes you a badass. Just one who can't do the olympics. \nXxy on the other hand totally sucks and causes sterility.\nOh and to the guy who said x chrom. carries retardation... You are aware that you are XY, right?

Submitted by mariamadness on Aug 4, 10 at 8:03am
  • guff1991- Turner syndrome is caused by the lack of a chromosome, XO, being the result. This usually starts as an XY chromosome in which part or all of the Y is damaged, leaving an infertile female. There are a lot more complications that result from Turner syndrome, including short stature, hearing problems, etc. I know a girl with Turner syndrome, it's a very interesting thing to research.

    Submitted by 573rep on Aug 4, 10 at 2:16am
    • Both men and women carry an X chromosome which mean a women ALWAYS passes it down and males have a 50/50 chance of passing a X or Y to the egg which is always an X. So it the egg could be missing that chromosome or the sperm is missing that chromosome. There are more issues with Turners than just want you stated and not any two women with Turners is affected the same. I was diagnosed at birth with this. Although I had ear issues as a little girl...I don't have hearing problems.

  • Wow, lot of dipshits on this site. Spend less time drinking and learn something. This post is crap. Men have an x chromosome. Women have 2 x chromosomes, but only one is active in any given somatic cell. I suggest you google "bar body". If you are not bio/premed and reading this, my sterness was not meant for you, but for the undergrad motons i have to deal with.

Submitted by nmstew on Aug 4, 10 at 12:37am
    • It's BarR body. If you would like to insult us premed students, you should at least make sure you spell things correctly. Annnd I am not quite sure what a "moton" is; clearly you're the moron in this comment.

  • Pretty sure any thing that can be carried on the bottom of the last x chromosome is more likely to show on the bottom of the y.

Submitted by balhblah on Aug 4, 10 at 9:49am
  • I beg to differ. I know this because this is a disease I've been living with all my life. I've been to the doctor's and it's not contagious; it's something you're just born with. There is no cure, but he says all I can do is just keep living my life as normal as possible, with an occasional outbreak every nowandthen.

  • Whereas douchebaggery is transmitted via both X and Y chromosomes, and it's just a matter of whether or not either/both of your parents are carriers of or afflicted with the aforementioned trait. xD

  • If ur a butch chances r ur just a guy with no dick

Submitted by Anonymous on Aug 4, 10 at 6:36am
  • Clearly retardation is carried on the X chromosome, because everyone with a Y chromosome knows that XX is TWO chromosomes, not one. If you wanted to make a chromosome joke about females being badass (which is in it of itself a joke) you would say that badassery is a recessive gene carried on the X chromosome, thus requiring two to have the aforementioned (impossible) badassery. It is clear, however, that badassery is a dominant gene carried on the Y chromosome.
