• actually a lot of oils don't eat through condoms (like the ones found in lube such as KY, etc) so I don't know why it would be common sense to assume all oils do, unless you just wanted to be on the safe side. Which in their case might not have been such a bad idea..

  • KY is water soluble as are all "personal lubricants." they aren't really oils. Anything oil based (not water soluble) is probably going to degrade a condom like vasaline, whipped cream (both are petroleum based), cooking oils, etc.
