i was very pleased when i learned that I was just two blocks from one where i go to school in iowa. being from wisconsin, we have none, at least not by me.
I worked at a Kum & GO for 2 years in high school. When I told my college friends about it they thought it was hilarious. Now every time I go home to Iowa I have to bring them back Kum & Go lighters.
Why is everyone still so shocked about kum n go?? Maybe it's just us sweet Iowans that are used to them..durr..they are based here..it's nothing too exciting
Kum and Go's seem like just another gas station here in MN and ND. However, when I had a job interview at Climax, I about crapped my pants. Hystarical!! I now work in Climax which is close to Fertile and so many more. The town of Climax has trouble keeping their sign because it has been stolen too many times :)
Kum and Go's first store was in my home town... Anyone entering a Kum and Go should know to buy atleast two t-shirts and a handful of Kum and Go logo lighters... Especially if you are in College, when I was in college I would sell them and make some great cash!
I never saw one before I went to school in Missouri. Michigan doesn't have any either. The ones in Springfield were called Git N Go (I think) and then bam! one day I went back for school and they were Kum N Go.
Wow I've gone on many road trips in the US (hence stopped at many gas stations) and have never seen one :(

ohmygod; i've been there. i was recently very sad. one of them changed their name from "kum and go" to "carlee's corner"..

There's a drag queen who works behind the counter of the closest one. Lets me walk in without shoes because I said it was against my religion.
They have those gas stations every where...nothing special....look anywhere in Colorado, Wyoming, Minnesota, Iowa, Arkansas, Kansas,...the list just keeps on going
lmao i've never heard of jizz and jett, but i definitely call it the jizz and split. yeah we have lots of them in oklahoma, but they will NEVER beat quiktrip.
im from arkansas, southeast, where can i find this store? another funny thing here is the town called flippin. i swear on everything, one of their churches is called and i quote the sign, "Flippin Church of God" lmao

There's a Hooker, Arkansas too. Weiner, Arkansas, Flippin, Arkansas. I passed through a town on the way to Jonesboro that said it had a population of, no shit, 50 people.

I almost wish I wasn't from Iowa now, as it seems the 'first kum & go sighting' is such a big deal for all these folks. I feel like I was robbed of the shock value by growing up with one right down the road..
My boyfriend and I are from California and we went to Colorado with my roomate, where she's from. And...on our way to Steamboat Springs we drove thru Craig (yiiiiikes, apparently hanging out in front of the rehab center is the thing to do) anyways, we saw our first Kum & Go and all I could say was "NO WAY" and then we took a picture in front of it, it had to be done. haha
I lived in Sacramento, Idaho, and Salt Lake City... first time I ever saw a Kum & Go was after my bro started working the fields up in Rock Springs. Laughed my balls off when we made the beer run through the drive through at the Kum & Go. It was like 1972 all over again.
never hear of the kum and go. I live in md. might have to move to one of those states so I can say "turn left at the kum and go" when I'm giving my parents directions on how to get to my house.

Theres a Kum && Go everywhere ya turn here in Jonesboro.. Ask for directions && they will tell ya go down by the Kum && Go && turn beside it.. Ya go in the direction they pointed ya && see a Kum && Go to the left.. Look to ya right .. Theres another Kum && Go.. lol
Eastern Iowa doesn't have Kum and Go's...I think the only one i've seen here was around Des Moines. Sadly i'm now in Arkansas so i see them all the time..
